Literacy Week

Brooker Community School is thrilled to announce Literacy Week, taking place from January 22nd to 25th, where we'll immerse ourselves in the enchanting world of words and stories. To add an extra layer of excitement, we've planned special dress-up days that coincide with our literary festivities.

Monday, January 22nd - Character Day:

Kick off Literacy Week by bringing your favorite literary characters to life! Whether it's a beloved book, a classic fairy tale, or a modern superhero, let your imagination soar as students and staff dress up as their most cherished characters.

Tuesday, January 23rd - Pajama Day:

Get cozy with a good book! Literacy and comfort go hand in hand on Pajama Day. Students are encouraged to wear their favorite sleepwear to school as we embrace the joy of reading in a relaxed and comfy atmosphere.

Wednesday, January 24th - Book Picnic:

Enjoy a reading picnic outside with friends! Students are invited to bring a blanket or towel to school for an outdoor reading experience. It's a creative way to celebrate the richness of reading in a new environment.

Thursday, January 25th - TBD: Writing up a Storm:

Cover yourself in words for literacy week. Wear as much writing as possible to celebrate all the words we've enjoyed this week. Cover yourself from head to toe in all your clothes with the most writing on them.

Throughout Literacy Week, these dress-up days will enhance the fun and excitement of our literary celebrations. Let's come together as a community to celebrate the magic of words and the joy of reading at Brooker Community School!
