Crossroads Farm Field Trip

We are excited to announce a thrilling educational adventure for our students! On Friday, October 6th, Brooker Community School will be embarking on a field trip to Crossroads Farm, a vibrant agricultural oasis nestled in the heart of our community. This outing promises an enriching and hands-on experience for our students, providing them with the opportunity to connect with nature, learn about sustainable farming practices, and engage in interactive educational activities.

Event Highlights

1. Farm Tour: Students will have the chance to explore the sprawling fields, greenhouses, and animal enclosures at Crossroads Farm. Knowledgeable guides will lead them through the farm, explaining the various crops, the importance of organic farming, and the role of sustainable agriculture in our community.

2. Educational Workshops: Our students will participate in interactive workshops designed to enhance their understanding of farming, environmental conservation, and the importance of locally sourced produce. These workshops will be both informative and engaging, encouraging active participation and questions.

Hands-On Activities: From planting seeds to harvesting fresh vegetables, students will roll up their sleeves and engage in hands-on activities, allowing them to experience the joy of cultivating their own food. Important Details

- Date: Friday, October 6th

- Departure: Buses will depart from Brooker Community School promptly at 8:45 AM.

- Return: Students will return to school by 2:00 PM.

- What to Bring: Students should wear comfortable clothing and sturdy closed-toe shoes suitable for walking. They are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle and a small backpack. Please ensure they have a packed lunch or arrange for a school-provided lunch if applicable.

- Permission Slips: Permission slips for the field trip will be sent home with students and must be signed and returned by October 2nd.
